Approaching 2020 Population Census, BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province Holds Ceremony

Samarinda - A day before the start of the 2020 Online Population Census, BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province held a ceremony at the office yard, Friday (2/14). The ceremony was led by the Head of Administration of BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province, Nur Wahid. In this event, Nur Wahid read a written speech from the Head of BPS-Statistics Indonesia - Suhariyanto.

In the speech, Suhariyanto conveyed to all BPS staff to contribute as much as possible for the success of 2020 Population Census. He also requested that all BPS staff increase awareness and sense of belonging to 2020 Population Census. "Ask your parents, relatives, and neighbors around your house, have you completed Online 2020 Population Census? Do you met any difficulty? If so, go help them," he said. Thus, he believes, the targets set in the Online 2020 Population Census can be realized.

On this event he also expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm shown by the Regional BPS Office during the preparation stage. Later, in the implementation stage, he hopes that field officers, mako, and so on, could establish good coordination and communication among them, so that the problems that arise can be resolved immediately. Also, to always pay attention to the adminstration aspects so as not to become a problem in days later.

This ceremony ended with the placing of hand stamp coloring of all BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province employees on the white banner as a symbol of support for the implementation of 2020 Population Census.
