BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Povince Visits the Information Commission

BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Povince as a public body has the obligation to provide and provide public information to the public in accordance with Republic of Indonesia Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information. To increase understanding regarding public information management, Maibu Barwis Sugiharto as Head of the General Section of BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Povince held an audience with the Kalimantan Timur Provincial Information Commission.

The visit was received directly by the Deputy Chair of KI for Kalimantan Timur Province, Imran Dusse and the commissioners on Monday 11 September 2023. "All decisions of agency leaders must be informed because they are public information," said Imran when welcoming the East Kalimantan BPS PPID team.

The information that public bodies must provide is immediate information, periodic information and information at any time. Apart from this mandatory information, there are types of information that are excluded, namely information that may be kept confidential for a certain period of time in accordance with the law and has undergone a consequence test.

It is hoped that this activity can optimize the management of information and documentation to fulfill the public's rights to obtain fast, precise and accurate public information.
