Public Dialog of Head of BPS-Statistics Kalimantan Timur Province with TVRI

Tuesday (9/1), Head of BPS-Statistics Kalimantan Timur Province, Yusniar Juliana attended the Public Dialogue with TVRI Kaltim. This segment was also attended by Yusliando, Head of the Kalimantan Timur Bappeda, and Cathas Teguh, Public Policy Observer and Academic from Mulawarman University.

On this occasion, the increase in HDI and its implications for the development progress of East Kalimantan were discussed. Apart from that, the things behind the formation of IPM are also discussed, such as the constituent components and the use of IPM itself.

This dialogue regarding HDI was carried out by examining various sides, both from academic, public and government perspectives. Through this discussion, it appears that the HDI is a rich indicator and can provide a very concise picture of the development of a region.

"It is impossible for policy determination in one sector to be unrelated to other sectors. For this reason, it is hoped that BPS data can be used more optimally by cross-sectors and we can synergize better and collaborate to form policies that are beneficial to the welfare of society," concluded Yusniar.
