Abstract

Foreign trade is an economic activity that is very instrumental in supporting development. From the export activities, foreign exchange is obtained, which is one of the sources of funds to finance development, while from import activities, raw / auxiliary materials and capital goods are needed for development.
  • The export value of the Province of Kalimantan Timur from the results of the processing of PEB documents (Notification of Export of Goods) for the period of January to October 2005 was 11.67 billion dollars, an increase of 34 percent compared to the same period the previous year (8.7 billion dollars). The export value consisted of exports of oil and gas commodities of 8.91 billion dollars (76 percent) and non-oil and gas commodities 2.76 billion dollars (24 percent)
