The number of people working in Kalimantan Timur in August 2013 was 1,624,272 people, an increase of 5,154 people compared to the situation in August 2012 which was 1,619,118 people.
The number of unemployed people in August 2013 decreased by 16,205 people compared to the situation in August 2012 which was recorded at 158,263 people and in August 2013 it became 142,058 people.
The open unemployment rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Timur in August 2013 reached 8.04 percent, a decrease compared to the situation in August 2012 (8.90 percent).
