August 2019: Open Unemployment Rate in Kalimantan Timur is 6.09 percent

Abstract

The number of the workforce in Kalimantan Timur in August 2019 reached 1,815,382 people, an increase of 82,784 compared to the August 2018 workforce (1,732,598 people).
The number of people working in Kalimantan Timur in August 2019 reached 1,704,808 people, an increase of 86,523 compared to the situation in August 2018 (1,618,285 people).
The Open Unemployment Rate in Kalimantan Timur in August 2019 reached 6.09 percent or as many as 110,574 people, a decrease compared to the TPT in August 2018 which was 6.60 percent (114,313 people).
In August 2019, the population of Kalimantan Timur generally worked in the G-Trade and Retail category; Car and Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance by 20.53 percent, category A-agriculture, forestry and fisheries by 18.76 percent and the category of Education Services, Health Services and Other Services (P, Q, and R, S, T, U) by 12.15 percent.
In August 2019, 394 thousand people (23.12 percent) worked less than 35 hours a week, while the population worked 35 hours or more per week (including those temporarily unemployed) reaching 1,310 million people (76,88 percent).
