Main Patterns of Trade Distribution in Kalimantan Timur
Rice: Distributor -> Wholesaler -> Retailer -> End Consumer
  • Red Chili: Wholesalers -> Retailers -> End Consumers
  • Shallots: Agent -> Retailer -> End Consumer
  • Race Chickens: Retailers -> End Consumers
  • Kalimantan Timur's total rice trade and transportation margin (MPP) in 2019 amounted to 32.12 percent; red chili 77.21 percent; red onion 31.65 percent; and chicken meat 40.30 percent.
  • The main pattern of distribution for 4 (four) strategic commodities that are observed in Kalimantan Timur, where the highest MPP is recorded is red chili with an increase of 27.17 percent compared to 2018, then the rice commodity increased by 6.49 percent. Meanwhile, the shallot commodity decreased by 9.55 percent compared to 2018 and chicken meat decreased by 17.57 percent
