Economics Growth of Kalimantan Timur Province growth at 4.48 percent in 2022

Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in 2022 based on the size of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached IDR 921.33 trillion, GRDP at constant prices in 2010 reached IDR 506.16 trillion, and GRDP per capita reached IDR 238.70 million.

Kalimantan Timur Province's economy in 2022 will grow by 4.48 percent, higher than the achievements in 2021 which grew by 2.55 percent. From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field of 11.96 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component of 8.48 percent.

Kalimantan Timur Province's economy in Quarter IV-2022 against Quarter IV-2021 experienced growth of 6.47 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field experienced the highest growth of 14.40 percent. From the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 13.09 percent.

Kalimantan Timur Province's economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter grew by 1.86 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field experienced the highest growth of 15.50 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 66.29 percent.

Economic growth in 2022 will occur in all provinces on the island of Borneo. Kalimantan Timur Province contributed the highest contribution to the preparation of regional Kalimantan added value of 52.14 percent.
