Abstract

The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) for East Kalimantan Province in 2022 was 0.443, an increase of 0.007 points compared to 2021 which was 0.436.
  • The rise in the IKG for the Province of East Kalimantan was influenced by the increasing inequality between men's and women's achievements in several indicators that make up the IKG.
  • In the reproductive health dimension, there has been an increase in the proportion of women giving birth not at a health facility in 2022, from the previous year as many as 85 to 89 women per 1,000 ever-married women aged 15-49 years who have given birth to live born children.
  • In 2022, it is recorded that there is inequality in achievement between men and women in the empowerment dimension, namely the Percentage of Population as Legislative Members indicator and the labor market dimension, namely the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) indicator.
