Abstract

The export value of Kalimantan Timur Province in June 2024 was recorded at US$2,195.45 million, an increase of 14.35 compared to May 2024.
Oil and gas exports in June 2024 were recorded at US$191.70 million, down 26.05 percent compared to May 2024. In contrast, non-oil and gas exports were recorded at US$2,003.75 million, an increase of 20.66 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Kalimantan Timur Province during January-June 2024 was recorded at US$12,156.44 million, down 17.51 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
By class of goods, the largest increase in the value of non-oil and gas exports in June 2024 against May 2024 occurred in the mineral fuel class of goods which increased by US$205.44 million (14.37 percent). Conversely, the deepest decline in export value occurred in the category of goods for various chemical products amounting to US$5.16 million (24.67 percent).
China became the main export destination country with the largest role with an export value of US$3,658.28 million (33.41 percent), followed by India with a value of US$1,924.51 million (17.57 percent), and the Philippines at US$965.62 million (8.82 percent).
In the January-June 2024 period, mining commodities were still the mainstay of Kalimantan Timur Province's exports with a role of 73.32 percent. Industrial products are in second place with a role of 16.58 percent, and the value of oil and gas exports is in third place with a role of 9.92 percent.
