The Gini Ratio of Kalimantan Timur in September 2024 was recorded at 0.310.

Abstract

In September 2024, the expenditure inequality level of the population in Kalimantan Timur, as measured by the Gini Ratio, was recorded at 0.310. This represents a decreased of 0.011 points compared to the Gini Ratio of March 2024, which was 0.321.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2024 was recorded at 0.315, a decrease of 0.010 compared to the Gini Ratio of March 2024, which was 0.325.
The Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2024 was recorded at 0.282, a decrease of 0.007 compared to the Gini Ratio of March 2024, which was 0.289.
According to the World Bank's inequality measurement, the expenditure distribution among the bottom 40 percent of the population in September 2024 was 22.12 percent. When specified by region, the figure was 22.02 percent in urban areas and 23.42 percent in rural areas. This indicates that the expenditure distribution in September 2024 falls into the low inequality category.
