Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in 2024 based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached IDR858.43 trillion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached IDR570.82 trillion, and GRDP per capita was IDR212.18 million.
The economy of Kalimantan Timur Province in 2024 grew by 6.17 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Public Administration and Defence; Compulsory Social Security Sector at 16.46 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component at 11.78 percent.
The economy of East Kalimantan Province in Quarter IV-2024 compared to Quarter IV-2023 grew by 6.12 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Other Services Activities Sector experienced the highest growth of 13.46 percent. In terms of expenditure, the NPISH Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 7.63 percent.
The economy of East Kalimantan Province in Quarter IV-2024 compared to Quarter III-2024 experienced a growth of 2.89 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Public Administration and Defence; Compulsory Social Security Sector experienced the highest growth of 8.85 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 66.14 percent.
The economy in all provinces on the island of Kalimantan in 2024 grew positively. Kalimantan Timur Province contributed the highest contribution to the formation of regional added value in Kalimantan at 47.29 percent.
