Abstract
The increase in NTP was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 2.41 percent, while the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 1.85 percent.
In March 2025, the NTP for each subsector is as follows: Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Food Crops (NTPP) was 100.57; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Horticulture Crops (NTPH) was 127.27; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) was 210.58; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Animal Husbandry (NTPT) was 107.13; and Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Fishery (NTNP) was 100.56.
In March 2025, two subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely Horticulture Crops Subsector at 2.54 percent and Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.94 percent. Meanwhile, NTP in three subsectors experienced a decrease, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.51 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 0.58 percent, and Fishery Subsector at 0.96 percent.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in March 2025 was 155.23 or increased by 1.71 percent compared with February 2025 which was recorded at 152.62.
