Labor Force Situation of Regency/Municipality in Kalimantan Timur Province 2017-2019

Employment data is an important aspect to describe the labor market in a region, because labor issues always address issues concerning unemployment, employment opportunities and labor force participation which are of course related to the quality of human resources. Absorption of labor can be used as a measure of the success of a region's development. This publication presents data on the number of working age population, labor force participation rate, number of working population, unemployment rate, disaggregated by sex and reviewed by regency/municipality from 2017-2019. In general, the labor force participation rate in Kalimantan Timur Province has continued to increase in the last three years, followed by an increase in the number of working people with an open unemployment rate which has gradually decreased.
