BPS-Statistics of Kaltim Releases Strategic Indicators (IHK, NTP, Tourism and Transportation)

The BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province has released several of the latest strategic indicators related to the Development of the Consumer Price Index in June 2023, the Development of the Farmer's Exchange Rate in June 2023, and the Development of Tourism and Transportation in May 2023.

Chief Statistician of Kalimantan Timur Province, Yusniar Juliana said that in June 2023, the combined 2 cities in Kalimantan Timur experienced inflation of 0.18 percent when compared to the previous month (m-to-m). The expenditure group that provided the largest contribution was the transportation group, which contributed to inflation of 0.1672 percent. If broken down according to its constituent cities, Samarinda Municipality experienced inflation of 0.25 percent while Balikpapan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.08 percent.

BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province also released the Kalimantan Timur Farmer Exchange Rate in June 2023 which decreased by 1.81 percent. Apart from that, during May 2023 there were 466 recorded visits by foreign tourists (tourists) to Kalimantan Timur. When compared with the previous month, the number of foreign tourist visits increased by 43.83 percent.
