Official News Release Statistics (CPI, NTP, Tourism and Transportation)

BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province released several strategic indicators. One of them is the development of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). In September 2023, Kalimantan Timur experienced inflation of 0.12 percent compared to August 2022. Meanwhile, when compared with September 2022 (year on year), Kalimantan Timur in September 2023 experienced inflation of 3.07 percent. The price increase was dominated by the food group, especially rice, which was affected by crop failure due to El Nino which caused a prolonged dry season so that farmers' supplies decreased.

Meanwhile, the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in September 2023 increased by 2.25% compared to the NTP in August 2023. This increase occurred because the price index received by farmers increased by 1.98 percent and vice versa, the price index that had to be paid by farmers. farmers experienced a decrease of 0.26 percent.

Apart from that, BPS has also released tourism and transportation developments in Kalimantan Timur for August 2023.
