Coordination of Samarinda City Monthly IBS Survey

Samarinda (13/2) – This morning, representatives from the Industrial Statistics Team of BPS-Statistics of Kalimantan Timur Province and the Production Statistics Team of BPS-Statistics Samarinda Municipality, along with field officers, provided a visit to PT Barokah Galangan Perkasa, a respondent in the monthly Large Medium Industry Survey (IBS), which operates in the industrial sector and shipping repairs.

In today's activities, BPS worked with respondents to capture phenomena that occurred in the field during the survey. In this case, Mr. Heri Hermawan, a representative of Human Resources and General Affairs (HRGA) PT Barokah Galangan Perkasa, conveyed several things, one of which was the obstacles in the data collection process, such as the fact that in the shipping industry, the production process takes a long time, and respondents also had difficulty filling out the questionnaire. Responding to this, a solution was proposed in which respondents may fill in the percentage of completion progress for the ship industry processes being carried out.

Finally, given the importance of the data collected in the monthly IBS survey, it is believed that this coordination activity would assist smooth down the data collection process in the field, allowing the data to be obtained in a timely way.
