The number of people working in Kalimantan Timur in February 2013 reached 1,721,816 people, an increase of 102,698 people compared to the situation in August 2012 of 1,619,118 people or an increase of 59,775 people compared to the situation in February 2012.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Timur in February 2013 reached 8.87 percent, a decrease compared to the August 2012 TPT of 8.90 percent and the February 2012 TPT of 9.29 percent.
In February 2013, the population generally worked in the tertiary sector (51.69 percent), then the primary sector (35.77 percent) and the secondary sector (12.53 percent).
