Abstract

The value of Kalimantan Timur exports in October 2013 reached US $ 2.39 billion, an increase of 3.79 percent compared with the value of exports in September 2013. The preliminary figures for exports in November 2013 were estimated at US $ 2.64 billion, an increase of 10.66 percent compared to October 2013.
The value of oil and gas exports in October 2013 reached US $ 1.00 billion, up 0.49 percent compared to the value of oil and gas exports in September 2013, while the value of non oil and gas exports in October 2013 reached US $ 1.39 billion, an increase of 6.29 percent compared to the value of Non Oil and Gas exports in September 2013.
The preliminary figures for the value of oil and gas exports in November 2013 reached US $ 1.06 billion, an increase of 6.26 percent compared to the value of oil and gas exports in October 2013, while the value of non oil and gas exports in November 2013 reached US $ 1.58 billion, an increase of 13.82 percent compared to October 2013.
According to the Goods Group (HS 2 Digits), mineral fuels still play a very large role in the formation of East Kalimantan's exports in the January-October 2013 period reaching 93.35 percent or US $ 23.99 billion.
According to destination countries, exports to Japan in the January-October 2013 period reached the largest figure of US $ 6.77 billion, followed by China at US $ 4.09 billion and the Republic of Korea at US $ 3.40 billion with the contribution of the three reaching 55.53 percent.
