RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (2013 Fixed Figures and 2014 Forecast Figures) KALIMANTAN UTARA PROVINCE

Abstract

Based on Forecast Number I (ARAM I), rice production in 2014 is estimated at 103,692 tons of Dry Grain Grain (GKG). Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), there was a relatively large decrease of 21,032 tons of MPD (-16.86 percent). The decline in production is estimated to have been due to a decrease in 6,815 hectares (-18.97 percent) of the rice harvest area.

The largest estimated decline in rice production in 2014 occurred in Bulungan Regency.

Based on Predictions I (ARAM I) corn production in 2014 is estimated at 987 tons of dry shelled. Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), there was an increase of 14 tons (1.44 percent). Increased production is expected to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 18 hectares (4.04 percent).

The biggest increase in corn production in 2014 occurred in TanaTidung Regency.

Based on Forecast Number I (ARAM I) soybean production in 2014 is estimated at 64 tons of dry beans. Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), there was a decrease of 20 tons (23.81 percent). The decline in production is expected to occur due to a decrease in harvested area of 19 hectares (-22.62 percent).

The relatively large estimated decline in soybean production in 2014 occurred in Bulungan Regency.
