The Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in January 2024 was 2.95 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Balikpapan city at 3.54 percent.

Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in January 2024 was 2.95 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.64. The highest inflation occurred in Balikpapan city at 3.54 percent with a CPI of 106.09, while the lowest occurred in Berau Regency at 2.26 percent with a CPI of 105.64.

Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 5.96 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 2.57 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 1.18 percent; Health Group of 5.02 percent; Transport Group of 3.44 percent; Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group of 0.14 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 1.21 percent; Education Group of 1.32 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 1.44 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 1.72 percent. Meanwhile, Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group recorded a deflation of 0.49 percent

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in January 2024 was 0.25 percent.

The Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in October 2024 was 1.75 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 3.54 percent.

The Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in January 2025 was 0.21 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Balikpapan Municipality at 0.36 percent.

The Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in March 2025 was 1.36 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 1.71 percent.

The Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in March 2024 was 3.03 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 4.05 percent.

Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Kalimantan Province amounted to 2.18 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Berau Regency at 2.58 percent
