The number of domestic air transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 0.07 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 11.20 percent from August 2024.

Abstract

The number of domestic air transportation passengers departing in September 2024 was 253,617 people, or an decrease of 0.07 percent compared to August 2024. Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations was 4,117 people or an increase of 2.34 percent compared to last month previously.
The number of domestic air passengers departing in January – September 2024 increased by 12.95 percent compared to the same periode in 2023. Meanwhile, in January – September 2024 the number of international passengers was 38.613 people, showing a significant increase of 23.30 percent.
The number of domestic sea transportation passengers departing in September 2024 was recorded at 40,347 people or decrease of 11.20 percent compared to August 2024. The number of domestic sea transportation passengers in January-September 2024 was 379,748 people or increased by 5.38 percent.
The number of goods transported in September 2024 increased 19.14 percent compared to August 2024 to 10,916.37 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the amount of goods transported in January – September 2024 by 78,774.73 thousand tons.
