The number of domestic air transportation passengers in December 2024 increased by 21.30 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers increased by 8.58 percent from November 2024

Abstract

The number of domestic air transportation passengers departing in December 2024 was 293,975 people, or an increase of 21.30 percent compared to November 2024. Meanwhile, the number of passengers for overseas (international) destinations was 4,105 people or an increase of 21.52 percent compared to last month previously.
The number of domestic air passengers departing in January – December 2024 increased by 12.86 percent compared to the same periode in 2023. Meanwhile, in January – December 2024 the number of international passengers was 49,488 people, showing a significant increase of 19.42 percent.
The number of domestic sea transportation passengers departing in December 2024 was recorded at 40,397 people or decrease of 8.58 percent compared to November 2024. The number of domestic sea transportation passengers in January-December 2024 was 495,660 people or increased by 2.85 percent.
The number of goods transported in December 2024 decreased 25.60 percent compared to November 2024 to 6,819.67 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the amount of goods transported in January – December 2024 by 103,688.73 thousand tons.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in March 2024 increased by 1.16 percent compared to the previous month. The number of sea transportation passengers in March 2024 increased by 53.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in August 2024 decreased by 1.49 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers in August 2024 decreased by 5.25 percent from July 2024.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 0.07 percent and the number of sea transportation passengers in Sept 2024 decreased by 11.20 percent from August 2024.

The number of domestic air transportation passengers in April 2024 increased by 44.26 percent compared to March. Sea transportation passengers in April 2024 increased by 87.41 percent compared to March.

Compared to the previous month, in December 2023, the number of domestic air transportation passengers increased by 11.37 percent and for sea transportation passengers increased by 34.66 percent.
