Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP) January 2025 was 147.36 or increased by 1.38 percent compared to the NTP in December 2024.

Abstract

The increase in NTP was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 1.15 percent, while the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.23 percent.
In January 2025, the NTP for each subsector is as follows: Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Food Crops (NTPP) was 100.06; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Horticulture Crops (NTPH) was 120.34; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) was 208.21; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Animal Husbandry (NTPT) was 108.91; and Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Fishery (NTNP) was 100.95.
In January 2025, four subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.66 percent, Horticulture Crops Subsector at 8.18 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 4.57 percent, and Fishery Subsector at 1.03 percent. Meanwhile, NTP in one subsector experienced a decrease, namely Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.03 percent.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in January 2025 was 152.18 or increased by 0.92 percent compared with December 2024 which was recorded at 150.80. Three subsectors experienced an increase in NTUP, namely Horticulture Crops Subsector at 7.33 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 5.22 percent, Fishery Subsector at 0.44 percent. Meanwhile, NTUP in one subsector experienced a decrease, namely Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.60 percent, and one stable subsector namely Food Crops Subsector.

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) February 2025 was 148.10 or increased by 0.51 percent compared to the NTP in January 2025.

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP) March 2025 was 148.93 increased by 0.56 percent. compared with February 2025. Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 155.23 in March 2025 increased by 1.71 percent

NTP January 2018 was 97.45 or up 0.18 percent compared to NTP in December 2017.
