Abstract
The decrease in NTP was due to the decrease in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.83 percent, while the decrease in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.43 percent.
In May 2025, the NTP for each subsector is as follows: Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Food Crops (NTPP) was 101.65; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Horticulture Crops (NTPH) was 117.56; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) was 202.26; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Animal Husbandry (NTPT) was 107.05; and Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Fishery (NTNP) was 103.38.
In May 2025, two subsectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely Horticulture Crops Subsector at 5.48 percent and Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 0.44 percent. Meanwhile, NTP in three subsectors were increase, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.89 percent, Animal Husbandry Subsector at 0.99 percent, and Fishery Subsector at 1.79 percent.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in May 2025 was 151.10 or decreased by 1.00 percent compared with April 2025.
