Situation Analysis of the Mother and Child Situation of Kalimantan Timur Province in 1996

The preparation of a situation analysis book on the situation of mothers and children of the provincial level I of Kalimantan Timur is part of meeting the needs of local governments to identify problems and potentials of mothers and children in Kalimantan Timur in addition to being a demand for the substance of the collaboration program of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and UNICEF.With the preparation of this book, it is hoped that the strategic formulation of various development sector programs that have access to improving the welfare of mothers and children. This hope is coveted because it is in line with socio-economic problems in Kalimantan Timur that still need to be optimally improved in various aspects including: aspects of health, education, welfare and protection of mothers and children. This is indicated by indicators of social welfare concerning mothers and children who still need improvements.
