Analysis of Current Issues for Kalimantan Timur Province 2023 is a routine annual publication of BPS-Statistics Kalimantan Timur Province . This publication presents several selected themes that are interesting issues in the context of Kalimantan Timur province during 2023, and have the potential to develop in the coming year.The first theme is related to Kalimantan Timur in the Archipelago IKN Development Period. This theme is interesting to discuss regarding the impact of IKN development on East Kalimantan Province. With the massive development of IKN in the first phase which focuses on building IKN's basic infrastructure, such as the IKN access toll road phase I, completion of the Sepaku Semoi Dam project to support IKN's raw water needs, construction of official residences, state palaces, presidential offices, as well as several government offices that Being in the Central Core Area of ​​IKN Government will of course have a multiplier effect on the economy of KalimantanTimur Province.The second theme discusses the Dynamics of Kalimantan Timur Coal Export Market: Challenges and Opportunities in the Era of Global Change. With the contribution of the foreign export component to Kalimantan Timur GRDP being quite high, and foreign exports also being dominated by coal, it is interesting to see what challenges and opportunities influence Kalimantan Timur coal exports.The third theme is about the description of the condition of stunting in Kalimantan Timur and efforts to eradicate it. This theme was chosen to see the development of stunting cases in Indonesia and Kalimantan Timur over the last few decades. As well as looking at various recommendations and efforts that can be made by the Government to reduce stunting rates.The fourth theme is entitled Overview and Analysis of Socio-Economic Determinants of Toddler Death in Kalimantan Timur. This theme was chosen to see what factors influence the under-five mortality rate in Kalimantan Timur.
