Abstract

Based on the results of monitoring by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in January 2006, Kalimantan Timur experienced inflation of 0.84 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 139.83 in December 2005 to 141.01 in January 2006. With this inflation rate, the 'year on year' inflation rate (January 2006 to January 2005) reached 16.33 percent.
