RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (Forecast Number I 2012)

Abstract

Forecast Number I (ARAM I) in 2012 rice production is estimated at 577.5 thousand tons of Dry Grain Grain (GKG). Compared to 2011 production, there was an increase of 24.9 thousand tons (4.50 percent). The increase in production is expected to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 5.8 thousand hectares (4.16 percent) and an increase in productivity of 0.02 quintal per hectare (0.06 percent).

The largest increase in rice production in 2012 is estimated to occur in the regency of Bulungan, Berau and Kutai Kartanegara.

Forecast Number I (ARAM I) in 2012 corn production is estimated at 7.8 thousand tons of dry shelled. Compared to 2011 production, there was an increase of 474 tons (6.46 percent). The increase in production is expected to occur due to an increase in the harvest area of 153 hectares (5.16 percent).
