RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (Forecast Number II 2012)

Abstract

Forecast Number II (ARAM II) in 2012 rice production is estimated at 568 thousand tons of Dry Grain Grain (GKG). Compared to 2011 production, there was an increase of 15.4 thousand tons (2.79 percent). Increased production is expected to occur due to an increase in crop area of 3.9 thousand hectares (2.81 percent).

The largest increase in rice production in 2012 is estimated to occur in Berau and Bulungan Regencies.

Forecast Number II (ARAM II) corn production in 2012 is estimated at 8.9 thousand tons of dry shelled. Compared to production in 2011, an increase of 1.6 thousand tons (21.31 percent). Increased production is expected to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 677 hectares (22.83 percent).

The biggest increase in corn production in 2012 occurred in Berau, Bulungan and Paser Regencies.
