RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (Provisional Figures 2013)

Abstract

Provisional Figures (ASEM) of rice production in 2013 is estimated at 563.8 thousand tons of Milled Dry Grain (GKG). Compared to 2012 production, there was an increase of 1,891 tons (0.34 percent). The increase in production is expected to occur due to increased productivity from 39.42 ku / ha to 40.63 ku / ha, an increase of 3.07 percent.
The relatively large increase in rice production in 2013 occurred in the regency of Berau, Paser and Samarinda.
Provisional Figures (ASEM) of corn production in 2013 is estimated at 5.83 thousand tons of dry seed. Compared to 2012 production, there was a decrease of 4.1 thousand tons (41.39 percent). The decline in production is expected to occur due to a decrease in harvested area of 1,804 hectares (43.96 percent).
A relatively large estimate of the decline in corn production in 2013 occurred in Bulungan Regency.
Temporary figures (ASEM) for soybean production in 2013 are estimated at 1.49 thousand tons of dry beans. Compared to 2012 production, there was an increase in production of 122 tons (8.94 percent). Increased production is expected to occur due to an increase in harvested area and productivity.
