The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for December 2024 was 145.35 or an increase of 1.93 percent compared to the NTP in November 2024.

The increase in NTP was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 2.35 percent, while the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.41 percent.

In December 2024, the NTP for each subsector is as follows: Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Food Crops (NTPP) was 99.40; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Horticulture Crops (NTPH) was 111.24; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) was 208.28; Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Animal Husbandry (NTPT) was 104.15; and Farmers’ Terms of Trade for Fishery (NTNP) was 99.93.

In December 2024, three subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely Horticulture Crops Subsector at 2.06 percent, Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 3.26 percent, and Animal Husbandry Subsector at 0.74 percent. Meanwhile, NTP in two subsectors experienced a decrease, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.81 percent and Fishery Subsector at 0.39 percent.

Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) in December 2024 was 150.80 or increased by 2.36 percent compared with November 2024 which was recorded at 147.32. Three subsectors experienced an increase in NTUP, namely Horticulture Crops Subsector at 2.60 percent, Smallholders Estate Crops Subsector at 3.67 percent, and Animal Husbandry Subsector at 1.10 percent. Meanwhile, NTUP in two subsectors experienced a decrease, namely Food Crops Subsector at 0.35 percent and Fishery Subsector at 0.03 percen.
