Abstract
The decline in the Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP) was due to a 0.81 percent decrease in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It), while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) increased by 0.09 percent.
In June 2025, the NTP for each subsector was as follows: Food Crops (NTPP) at 101.73; Horticultural Crops (NTPH) at 119.83; Smallholders Estate Crops (NTPR) at 198.70; Animal Husbandry (NTPT) at 106.60; and Fisheries (NTNP) at 102.67.
In June 2025, three subsectors experienced a decline in NTP: Smallholders Estate Crops decreased by 1.76 percent, Animal Husbandry by 0.42 percent, and Fisheries by 0.68 percent. On the other hand, two subsectors recorded an increase: Food Crops rose by 0.07 percent, and Horticultural Crops by 1.93 percent.
The Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade (NTUP) in June 2025 stood at 149.86, a decrease of 0.82 percent compared to May 2025.
