Monday (6/5), BPS Kalimantan Timur Province carried out an Official Statistical News Release. The release was delivered by the Head of BPS Kalimantan Timur Province, Dr. Yusniar Juliana, SST., MIDEC which was preceded by the opening by the Head of the Economic Bureau, H. Iwan Darmawan, Ak. MM., who represents the Regional Secretary of Kalimantan Timur Province. The data released consists of several indicators, one of which is the Economic Growth of Kalimantan Timur Province, Quarter I 2024.
In Quarter I-2024, the economy of Kalimantan Timur Province grew by 7.26 percent compared to Quarter I-2023. Kalimantan Timur's economic growth is above the national average of 5.11 percent. In terms of production, the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields experienced the highest growth of 17.44 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Expenditure Component of Household Non-Profit Institutions (LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 18.12 percent.
Apart from the Economic Growth data for the first quarter of 2024, on this occasion several data were also released such as the Employment Condition of Kalimantan Timur Province February 2024 and the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) of Kalimantan Timur Province for 2023.
