Abstract

Based on Forecast Number I (ARAM I), rice production in 2014 is estimated at 432,612 tons of Dry Grain Grain (GKG). Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), there was a relatively small decline of 6,827 tons of MPD (-1.55 percent). The decline in production occurred because there were still many functions of dry land (paddy fields) and a decrease in the area of rice harvesting of 2,594 hectares (-2.52 percent).

The largest estimated decline in rice production in 2014 occurred in the regency of Kutai Kartanegara and West Kutai.

Based on Forecast Figures I (ARAM I) corn production in 2014 is estimated at 6,636 tons of dry shelled. Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), an increase of 1,772 tons (36.43 percent). Increased production is expected to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 617 hectares (33.21 percent).

The largest increase in corn production in 2014 occurred in Berau Regency.

Based on Forecast Figures I (ARAM I) soybean production in 2014 is estimated at 1,263 tons of dry beans. Compared to 2013 production (ATAP 2013), there was a decrease of 139 tons (9.91 percent). The decline in production is expected to occur due to a decrease in harvested area of 81 hectares (-8.41 percent).
